ARSTRACT: Characteristics of organic pollution in landfill leachate and groundwater around municipal solid waste (MSW) was investigated in landfill leachate of JinKou sanitary landfill site by chromatograph/mass spectroscopy (GC/MS) with Solid-phase extraction (SPE). 138 kinds of main organic pollutants were identified. leachate has led to organic pollution in some extent to aqueous environment, including surface water, perched water, phreatic water and confined groundwater. Further distance from landfill site, and less complex organic in samples. There occurred more serious organic pollution in downgradient area along groundwater flow. 8 kinds of organic compounds were detected. N-Ethyl-4-methoxy-alpha-methylphenethylamine and Dibutyl phthalate should be concerned in aqueous environment around MSW.
