OXSAS Menu Structure
The menu structure of OXSAS has been defined in such a way that it looks similar to most software application and in particular to Microsoft applications. Menus are therefore organized starting with File on the left side and ending with Help on the right side.
Menus in between are ranked by descending order of importance: Analysis and Data, Operation Setup, Tools and Views.
File:
Even if only Backup Database and Restore Database are effectively playing with files, this menu also includes all functions necessarily for starting or ending working with OXSAS: Login and Log Off, Operational Mode and Offline mode, Exit.
Analysis and Data:
Includes all function to make all types of individual analyses or in batch and to view and process the results and scan spectra.
Operation setup:
Includes all function to setup the achievement of the function available under the menu Analysis and Data: i.e. defining and calibrating Methods, defining tasks, defining grades, defining the various manual and automatic processing functions. It also includes the definition of the instrument hardware attached to OXSAS.
Tools:
Includes the definition of Peripherals and System data (Preferences, Users, Menus, Events). Includes monitoring menus: peripherals, events. Tools also include menu to run Scripts and perform Actions (usually direct interactions with the instrument).
Views:
Allows the selection of the different navigation display systems: Menu Bar, Explorer Bar, Icon Panel and the Restore Monitors at Start function. You can also chose to show or hide the Instrument Alarms and Analysis Progress windows.
